Extra: Sell Up and Sail Away Video 2 – Our thoughts, feelings and move day!

If you haven’t watched the first video in this series, watch Sell Up and Sail Away Video – Sea Trails & Survey first. That movie shows us in Palma, Mallorca taking an Oyster 56′ out for a sea trial and to get her surveyed.

After the trip and survey results, it wasn’t hard to confirm our official intentions to buy the boat. In order to get the best deal we could, the purchase had to take place before the end of 2013. We had to make things happen in a matter of weeks, not months!

For us to buy the boat before the end of the year, we had to make sure that our house sale went through, so there were several weeks of stress. Everything had to happen at the right moment for things to come together. If the house sale fell through, the ability to purchase the boat would fall through.

I was a nervous wreck. As you’ll see in the video I’m barely breathing. I’ve never felt so stressed, scared, and anxious in my life. My whole body ached. Living your dream isn’t for the faint-hearted!

Next Chapter: 22. The day before we purchase our 56′ Oyster

Previous Chapter: 20. A lesson on stopping the ‘what-if’s’ from taking over my life!

Or…if you’d like to carry on reading all about our journey from selling up and sailing away, you can purchase my book, ‘Changing Lifestyles – Trading the Rat Race in For A Sail Around The World,’

Changing LifestylesREADER REVIEW
Kindle Reader. 5 Star Review!
"My husband and I are 12 months out from living the cruiser dream. We are ecstatic, but also making every effort to stay realistic! It's not all fun & games...staying grounded is a huge factor in our success with this transition. This book helped to keep it all in perspective, depicted the highs AND the lows! We've learned of destinations we've now on our "just see" list and add important notes to our "just do or you'll regret it" list! I'm now going to search for any other books she's written since! What a great read!! I am excited & inspired!"
