44' Bavaria

Rob and Jodi have recently purchased their boat so they're new to the full time liveaboard community. The duo sold their house and moved on board with two dogs, a pug and rottweiler. Over the past six months Rob and Jodi have been preparing the boat to cast off...who knows we're they'll head first?! Come visit them in Charleston to discuss their experiences thus far.

Discuss with Simon, Kim or Sienna what it's like to sail the Mediterranean, cross the Atlantic Ocean or frequent the Caribbean. Find out what it's like to be a child on board or what it's like to sail over 18,500 miles. Whether you have a specific question in mind or just want to chat about sea life, the Britican family of three are all eager to share their thoughts & experiences.

62' Jongert (Steel Ketch)

What's it like to own a steel hulled sailboat? How does one purchase a boat from outside the States and import it back in the USA - what's it like dealing with the US Coast Guard? What's it like to manage a series of major refurbishments on a boat? All these questions and more can be answered by Captain Brad and his lovely First Mate, Cherie.

Not sure? Ponder this...

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain.

What else is going on the weekend of the 20th/21st in Charleston?

Charleston Tall Ships

May 19th to 21st: 3-Day Maritime Tall Ships® Festival, and official port of the Tall Ships Challenge® Atlantic Coast 2017 Series. Proceeds from the event benefit several maritime educational charities.

Can we buy tickets at the gate the day of the event?

The organization encourages people to purchase tickets in advance so they can go directly to the ticket gate and not have to wait in line to purchase tickets first. There is NO guarantee that any certain type of ticket will be available at the gate for purchase. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Day Sail tickets are popular and limited and have a tendency to sell-out well in advance of the actual event. Please plan accordingly. (More info here...)

What others have to say about meeting and greeting us...

"I've had the honor to meet Simon, Kim & Sienna on a few occasions so to 'pick their brains.' Every time I've met them I've left with a renewed inspiration and an action plan to get me out sailing as soon as possible" L. Purdy

"Captain Brad offers such great educational videos on YouTube! I was lucky to meet him and his lovely wife in person and 'wow' did I learn a lot. Thank you Brad & Cherie!" Sue Williams

"Thank you to Robbie and Jodi on La Vida for not only answering all my questions, but also giving me a tour of your boat. I'm not far behind you'all - see you soon at an anchorage in the Caribbean!" Tom & Jayne Thompson
