After watching a weather disturbance for days we felt confident that nothing more than a bit of rain and wind was coming. Unbeknown to us, Tropical Storm Karen, formed overnight and crossed just north of our current anchorage.
Knowing that serious weather bands might cause high winds and a large swell we made a decision to sail south to Grenada from St Vincent & The Grenadines.
Although Britican has survived one tropical storm and three hurricanes we never stayed on board to see what it was like. This time we had no choice. And to make matters worse we had a paying guest onboard! Watch the video to find out what it was like to run from and eventually endure the wrath of Tropical Storm Karen.
