Sailing From A Tropical Storm

After watching a weather disturbance for days we felt confident that nothing more than a bit of rain and wind was coming. Little did we know that we’d have to start sailing from a tropical storm!

Knowing that serious weather bands might cause high winds and a large swell we made a decision to sail south away from the storm to Grenada from St Vincent & The Grenadines.

Although Britican has survived one tropical storm and three hurricanes we never sailed through one. This time we had no choice. And to make matters worse we had a paying guest onboard! Watch the video to find out what it was like to run from and eventually endure the wrath of a Tropical Storm.
